Today was my daughters first day of confirmation class. I asked her what they talked about when she got home.
"Jackolopes."
What is the pastor teaching them?

Birthday Girls
Claire is eight.
She has a new pair of blue shoes. (Blue is apparently her new favorite color. Pink is so, like last year.) She also received a roller suitcase, a very cool crocheted drawstring bag, and a new game. She also got her ears pierced. Yesterday was a very fun, but busy day--maybe I'll do a dual birthday interview next week with Claire and Lily?
Don't diss the cake. I will spare you the recipe. The frosting cooled into a rock hard mass faster than you could say "ugly cake". There is a reason she only has one candle to blow out!
First Day
Official first day was Tuesday. Things are going all right. Cuddling up on the couch post-lunch for history is still everyone's favorite.
Claire - finish Saxon 3, start Saxon 54, Shurley 3, start Writing Strands 3, any book I tell her to read (which, fortunately, is not a problem)
Lily - finish Saxon 1, start Saxon 2, Shurley 1, handwriting, read books
Both - finish Story of the World 2, start Story of the World 3, Apologia Botany, Prima Latina
