Swim Meet

We attended our first and only swim meet of the season last Saturday.  It was a long day, but the girls came home with accolades which validated their swimming efforts over the past few months.  They both swam well.  PR's all around!

The YMCA where the meet was held was full (!) of families.  We all piled onto the gym floor while we waited for each event.  It was hot and crowded.  Needless to say, we got a bit restless as the day progressed.  Uncle Kyle, Auntie Grace and Peter stopped by over lunchtime which was a nice distraction.  After they left, Chris took Gus and Izzy on a little excursion to a nearby zoo.

 Chris said that he was glad for the fencing.  The animals got really close.

A very fun day!

February

Um, February is, way over.  We have been very busy.

We had Mardi Gras celebrations,

 

played in the snow (snow, snow, SNOW!, and more snow),

 saunaed,

 took naps,

 crocheted and knitted,

 made buntings and Valentines,

 visited Michigan to play with our cousins,

 and to snuggle our Grandmie, Grandpa,

and Aunt Jeannette.  Gus loved seeing "his Gabe".

 We came home to a haircut,

 

and sported matching black eyes!

 Theo turned 6 months, had a healthy check up, and started on solid food.

Life has been full, and good.
