Sesame-Soy Meatballs

Oh. My.
Sesame-Soy Meatballs (adapted from Cooking Light, Nov. 2010)
1/2 cup minced green onion (I used combination of leeks and green onion)
2 T brown sugar
3 T soy sauce
1 T sesame oil
1 T garlic chili sauce
6 - 7 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 lbs ground chuck
Mix to combine. Form into 1 1/2 inch meatballs. Brown in skillet. Finish in 400 degree oven for 5-7 minutes. Skillet drippings make a pretty fantastic gravy. You will lick your plate clean.

Horicon Marsh
On Sunday afternoon we made our annual pilgrimage to Horicon Marsh. Ah! The sweet smell of tradition and nostalgia!

Chaos and Togetherness
Life has been really busy since we started school at the end of August. We have fallen into a nice daily and weekly routine that leaves little time for other activities (including blogging), but nonetheless has an enjoyable cadence of chaos and togetherness. I know that the momentum will wane in the cold, dark winter months, but for now we are riding the wave for as long as it takes us.
