I love cows. I really do.
But when I'm running down a quiet country road and they stop munching grass to stare at me, I feel a little uncomfortable. They watch me the entire time I jog past their pasture, which, is a very long time to have a cow stare at a person.
Which is worse? Cows staring at you as you run by on the road or small children, slack-jawed staring in befuddlement while your head drips with sweat as you run on the treadmill?
As much as the cows creep me out, the kids win every time.

The kids have to be worse. I think of some of the things my kids say to me and I know, without a doubt, the kids are worse.

Wait a minute?! I thought I was the only one creeped out by cows. You were supposed to be the cow-lover! I remember someone giving me a hard time for being unnerved by staring bovines...now, who was that???

when my mom and i were out in nebraska, michael took the puppies over to his cousin's farm. i guess ginger (the littler of the 2) and all 10 lbs of her barked at the cows. they all came from the pasture right up to the fence to investigate this little thing trying to tell them how big she is.
