Home Tour - Outside and Entryway

My husband literally has a 10 second commute!  We love it!
Our home is an almost traditional American Foursquare.  The floor plan is a bit different because of the special pastor's study the church put in on the main floor.  Basically we have four rooms on the main floor (one in each corner) and four bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

Our neighbors all live in Foursquares too. According to the stories, the homes were all built by the same group of men from 1915 - 1919. I love going inside my neighbor's houses.  They look just like mine with small variations!  The house built for the town's doctor, on the opposite corner of the street, has the fanciest details in the woodwork.  Gorgeous!
We almost never use our front door.  Next time you come over, come to the side door!  Can you see it in the picture?
Looking down the stairs to the side entrance.
Looking up to the main floor from the entrance.
 Down to the basement.
"The landing"
Outside the side door.

Your house is huge. Can I rent a room?

I love your home Erin. Thanks for sharing. You're so on top of this project. ;)

Your house looks so clean and uncluttered. How DO you manage that? :)

Jeannette,

I bet she took the pictures on a Saturday. ;)

Adriane, sure. We would love to have you. Just be forewarned that my children are crazy-loud and may drive you to insanity.

Jan, only on top of the project because Adriane made fun of me on her blog. I'm crushed. :)

Cate, for your information I took the pictures yesterday and posted them on my blog. So there!

Jeannette, (Cate close your eyes) you didn't see every other room in my house! They were messy, promise!

Erin, I've seen your house when it's messy, and it really isn't all that messy. Trust me. I've seen messy. Heck, I've lived messy. Your house isn't it. ;)

I love this home tour. I am getting inspired to do one of my own. Besides your house and my house are so similar, it's like we're neighbors.

Merry Christmas!
