I will always have long hair. I am too lazy to take the time to style a shorter do. Most of the time I put it into a ponytail or a braid after it air dries. For Sundays or special occasions I blow dry it sleek and straight.
This is one of my favorite ways to put it up my hair and I always get compliments on it. When your hair is mostly dry, pull it back into a loose ponytail. Separate it into three equal parts and braid upwards, keeping it close to your head. Secure with bobbybins to keep it in place. Comfortable and messy, with the air of looking put together. Perfect!

You are why I am growing my hair out.
Erin, you always manage to pull off looking well-put-together. Oh, and your hair is gorgeous.

Your hair IS gorgeous. I wish I could get my that long. Instead, I'll just be over here all breaking the 10th commandment coveting your hair. Don't mind me.
I have to confess that one on a regular basis, Lauren. ;)

I have gotten to where I like my hair much shorter than I've been wearing it for the last 25 years. But I hate how it needs to be taken care of! I'm 10 weeks past my "short" haircut. (Shhhh, it wasn't what any normal person would call short.) And it's driving me nuts. Bangs the wrong length. Too long to be down. Too short to be up because the whispies and the sides keep falling out of the ponytail or French braid. When I finally get it long enough to stay in a bun or ponytail again, bop me one if I start talking about [ahem] Looking Professional [coughcough] for work. Long hair may take longer to wash and dry, but there's almost no styling, and no pesky bimonthly haircuts. No matter how many compliments I received for my January haircut, that's not enough to make up for the bad-hair days in March.
