What We've Been Reading

Chris - Undaunted Courage, Ambrose
Erin - Poisonwood Bible, Kingsolver
read-aloud to the big girls - From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, Konigsburg
Clarie - The Sword in the Stone, White
Lily - Mr. Putter books, Rylant
audiobook series the girls are listening to - Gaurdians of Ga'Hoole
Izzy - Maisy First Experiences series, Cousins and Rupunzel, Zelinsky
the picture book I always choose - All the World, Garton Scanlon

We are in a good place with books right now.  Everyone curls up on the couch happily engaged to their respective stories.  I breathe deeply on the afternoons after morning library trips.  There is no sweeter aroma than children reading on the couch.

I'm with you on the sweetness of children reading books. There's nothing better. And Claire could put any adult to shame with how much she reads. Way to go, Erin and Chris!

I am so glad that your girls like to read. Some of my best and fondest memories are spending hours (hours!) every day reading, especially in the summer. I love knowing that other people enjoy that same thing too.

I love Mr Putter. I suppose this means you've also found Henry & Mudge?

EC, I finished the Poisonwood Bible the other day. It was the best book I've read in a very long time. Amazing!
