Home Tour: Porch

This winter when I did the home tour, I did not photograph the porch. It was snowed in! Every summer our porch becomes an additional room of the house. We eat every meal outdoors and the kids like to play out here with their toys and board games. New homes have decks, and those are very nice, but I can't say how much I love the old fashioned charm of our porch. It is a feature of the parsonage I will miss if (when) we move away.

That is gorgeous! I grew up in houses with porches and swings and I miss it! My dream home is an old two-story with a great big porch on a quiet shaded street in a smallish town. Don't know if I will ever get that, though. I seem destined for suburbia.
I love your porch, too, with its sunshiney-ness and porch swing. Maybe it's the yummy food that we always eat there and the delightful company and conversation too. Yeah, all of that.

I laugh only because my life is much like yours. Only more-so. And full of tears. Which are usually mine.
