Chicken wings. You know, the drink-with-beer-and-lick-your-fingers-clean kind of chicken wings. Can I admit that I like them? We have this bar in town that serves up gluttonous portions of any kind of fried food imaginable--french fries, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, these mini-taco things, and wings (to name a few). Chris and I will occasionally order wings at 8:45 pm to go along with a movie. They are definitely one of my favorite junk foods.
But did you know? You can make them! They are easy! I saw them in Everyday Food last month and gave them a try. The kids loved them. Even Lily, my child who wouldn't mind being a vegetarian, asked for seconds. The worst part is cutting up the wing itself. There is a reason I didn't become an orthopedic surgeon. Busting up joints--not my favorite thing to do.

Mouth is watering. Off to look for wings in my freezer!
Let me suggest that you get your husband a poultry shears for Father's Day. It will make that job a snap and you'll be eating those yummy sounding wings in no time.
Wait. I just reread the recipe.Cayenne pepper? Frank's Red Hot Sauce? What happens to Gus after a snack like that? (He turns into 'el Gusto'?)
