It's a million millions. Or a thousand billions. When Audrey gets older, read her "How Much Is a Million?" Great picture book. It begins to give you a smidge of an idea of how HUGE a million is. And then to think of a trillion....? It is unfathomable!
"Will precious metals buy you food? I'm not sure."
Hopefully, it won't come to that. Metals are convertible into any currency. So if the greenback continues to decline in value you can use metals as a way to prevent the a corresponding decline of your liquid assets. And if things get really bad you can trade with metals - silver most easily.
