In the effort to save a little, I almost always buy generic store brands, the big exception being--diapers. I always buy Luvs, which is the least expensive of the major brands. I have had too many leaks and explosions with store brands to justify the savings.
I have been surprisingly pleased with the ENORMOUS box of Cosco brand diapers someone gifted us with when Gus was born. I would compare them to Huggies. We have had no problems. This may be the incentive for me to break down and finally buy a Cosco membership.

I'm on the same page with the diaper thing. I do buy Luvs at Woodmans...and also the diapers at Sam's. I can really stock up so I am not buying them all the time...the wipes are good, too. I'm sure Costco carries those as well.
We live 3 1/2 hours from Costco but we love them! We only get there 3 or 4 times a year so we really stock up when we get there. How far away is Costco from you? We got an American Express card from them and we charge whereever A.E. is taken and then pay it off each month. The rebate pays for our membership. You can spend the rebate on anything in the store. Our last rebate was $140. Last month we also bought a new car through the Costco membership program and got a big discount.
I, too, have heard good things about Costco diapers. Anyone use the Sam's generic diapers? I'm reticent to try them but would if someone's had good luck with them. And we use Luvs too. They smell so good - like baby (before being worn, of course.)
