It is Space Week at our homeschool. We raided the space shelf at our local library, taped up constellations of stars around the dining room, and we are writing our own book about what we have learned (it is amazing what I didn't learn about space growing up--do you know how big the sun is? REALLY BIG!).
We made a model of the solar system yesterday. This awesome website made it easy to do!

Gustav Holst's Planet Suite CD is waiting at the library for us. I'll pick it up sometime later this week. Maybe we can listen during our Planet Party on Friday night. I haven't decided what to make for dinner. Any suggestions? My sister suggested Tang and Dippin' Dots. I can't eat that.

How about Planet Pancakes and Mars Balls (Watermelon balls)? Oh, darn...the fruit issue. OK, back to the drawing board. :) Looks like you guys are having fun. Can't wait to see you!

Gustav Holst's Planet Suite CD is one of my kids' favorites. They are always borrowing it from the library.
