It was so hot today. It was 89 degrees at midday. I was practically melting. The kids put on their swimsuits and we filled up the kiddie pool. Gus loved the water--and all the attention!
I know you won't believe this, but ds2 could not wait to be 18 months and get cod liver oil like his older brother. Once they turn 18 months we just start giving it to them. They make a bunch of flavors, for some reason cherry is about 50 cents cheaper than the other flavors so that is what we have bought them recently and not given them a choice. They also have orange, mint, that we have tried. Our grocery has it for about $11 a bottle-I'm sure there are cheaper options. We've actually had to give each boy their own spoon so they both can lick the spoon instead of sharing a spoon. Ds3 has one more month and I'm sure he'll get in line too. CLO is very healthy for their system-especially to get that kind of fat. I think it smells horrible and I'm not volunteering to take any, but we're giving it to our children. If you can't convince your girls, at least try Gus when he gets to 18 months! It's good for mood health, cardivascular health, and healthy joints and Omega 3 and Vitamin A and Vitamin D! A woman who I trust for nutrition/vitamin advice (too long story of who) suggested CLO when I asked what vitamins to give to children (she gave lots of advice on adult vitamins). Our pediatrician can't believe we get them to take CLO, but he thinks it is great. It is suggested that you wait until 18 months-I don't know why, but that is what we have done. Maybe try Mary Poppins' spoonful of sugar afterwards for your girls?
